Beth A. Lenz, M.Ed., LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor

Master’s in Education, Counseling, 2011
Bachelor’s in Elementary and Special Education, 1991

My focus is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and client centered as well as teaching mindfulness techniques, relaxation and trauma focused skills.  I advocate for my clients and show them ways to advocate for themselves, communicating positively throughout life. I am relationship based and believe that the counseling relationship is most important in moving forward, choosing a different path and changing current thoughts and beliefs to address issues that are presented throughout life.

I am licensed in the State of Wyoming, practicing since 2013. I enjoy giving hope to clients, finding positive ways to express themselves and providing ways to move forward through life’s challenges. At present, I have my private practice, Scope, and the Virtual Academy programs.

Formerly, I taught for 22 years in Nebraska and Wyoming, working with all age levels in Special Education. I also have a background in Case Management at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, Veteran trauma work through CHAPS, and as a Parent Liaison at Compass-Center for Families.  Each of these positions reinforced my skills to work on multiple levels with people of all ages, backgrounds and needs.

My notable connections within the community of Sheridan enriches teamwork opportunities through the schools, the hospital, and other local agencies to ultimately provide services, supporting the client’s life.
